This is a chapter that has nothing to do with the actual story. Penthesilea had one of her moods and strongly felt like torturing her slave with an easter egg hunt... It is for fun only and I hope you won't forget what Easter really is about. :) Enjoy it In the morning, Penthesilea became - for reasons unknown to her, as if she was led by a superior power or the goddess herself - smitten with the thought of painting and hiding some eggs. Haimon didn't really like the idea as he already sensed he would be the one to search for them in the end. And he was proved correct. "If you find all of them, you will get a reward," Penthesilea promised. Little did this do to improve his bad temper. But did he have a choice? "Ha," Penthesilea triumphed. "I wonder whether he will succeed." Finding the first one actually made Haimon grin. Well, that one wasn't hard to find... But where was one supposed to search especially while being watched? There was nothing in the fridge, at least. But then, he bent the knee and pulled an egg up from the bathtub. I wonder if that's a hint for me to take a bath, again? The next hidden object was discovered while standing up and required some sporting activity. He then chose to circle the house and continue his search in the surroundings. It proved quite a good idea. "Yeah, good I wasn't going to light that thing up." The decision to finally go for his own room in the basement didn't seem to be a bad one, either. As soon as he entered, his eyes fell upon a tiny egg. "Ha! Got another one!" That day appeared to be his lucky day: even taking a break meant a progress in his quest. "Aw, that search makes tired", he yawned and stretched at the same time when he suddenly spotted a colorful shimmer in the corner behind his sleeping bench. "Oh, what's that?" Some of the things he found just confused him. "Was that actually supposed to be an egg? Doesn't look like one." Finally, he had collected the number of things Penthesilea had told him and decided to go for her. "Hey," he addressed her and the only reason why she didn't punish him were her unexplainable high spirits that very day. "I've found all of the easter eggs you'd hidden." "Let's see." She examined his discoveries carefully. "Seems you're right." With a meaningful grin on her face, she turned and drew him close to her. "Now, to your reward." At least, Haimon thought, he couldn't say she had taken him by surprise. So, I guess Haimon had his share of Easter. :) And Penthesilea, of course, too while she watched him search desperately. Now, to you: Happy Easter!
